Misticosophy offers the spiritual seeker an intelligible understanding of this essence or universal mysticism, known as the Spiritual Path. The Spiritual Path is the way the spiritual pilgrim must walk—from their current state of consciousness to the conscious union with the Divine, or the Absolute.
Just as the colors of the rainbow arise from the light of the sun, throughout time and across different places, this Mother Teaching has manifested in diverse forms to guide humanity along its Spiritual Path. Yet, regardless of the form it may assume at any given moment, it remains the same—unchanging and eternal.
The Mother Teaching—the very essence shared by the world’s great spiritual traditions—can be understood through the study of two great paths: the creation of the body of light and the awakening of spiritual consciousness.
The Two Ways of the Spiritual Path
To advance along either of these two ways—which does not imply adopting a specific system of beliefs, but rather a real transformation in the individual’s conscious experience—is what is known as the Spiritual Path. The world’s major spiritual traditions generally divide this path into five stages of progressive development.
These two ways are not separate or independent; rather, they share a profound interconnection and mutual interdependence. As we advance along one of them, we are simultaneously progressing along the other.
The comparative study of the Spiritual Path in the world’s great spiritual traditions, as well as of the two great ways through which it can be traversed, must be rightly called Mysticosophy.
Mysticosophy is the teaching that has succeeded not only in unifying the Spiritual Path of the world’s great mystical traditions, but also in bringing together spirituality and science. Setting aside external authority, systems of belief, and the rites and ceremonies of religion, it has recovered the universal spiritual or mystical essence shared by the major religions of the world. This universal spirituality or mysticism is, in fact, a body of knowledge—a coherent and verifiable body of information. Therefore, this empirically verifiable knowledge bridges this universal spirituality or mysticism with science.
